Old school movies are making a comeback, in everyday headlines. We found an article discussing a new discovery by NASA that will help to unveil more about early Earth and time. The title of the article? “Giant Mystery Blob Discovered Near Dawn of Time.”
In society, people who work at NASA are seen as very intelligent people, at the top of their class and field. They gain a lot of respect from the science community and many people believe they can truly change standard beliefs about space. Yet, with a classy title starting with “giant mysterious blob,” we’re starting to have our doubts.
Blobs remind us of childhood, where we would have blobs of glue and paint in arts and crafts, and blobs of gross things when we played outside, like mud pies. But to see blobs used by NASA, we were shocked. I mean, they could have used several other terms. Our thesaurus tells us that “splotch, globule, bead, dot, dash, and splash” are all acceptable terms to use in place of blob. So NASA, you should hire us to help you write some new press releases!
